Setting up your iPad with Suffolk Online E-Mail

Here is a quick guide in setting up Suffolk Online E-Mail on your iPad. This is similar to the iPhone but some menus are different in the way they are layed out. If you have any problems or questions, then please contact the helpdesk.

Below is a screenshot of what you should see on your ipad. It may be different depending on what apps you have installed.

Tap the Settings Icon and you should see the screen below. 

Tap the Mail, Contacts, Calenders option down the left hand side.

Tap Other and then below we will show you how to enter your Suffolk Online Settings.

Select Add Mail Account

It will then ask you to enter the following:

Name: Your Name
Account (e.g): john@suffolkonline.net
 Password: Your Suffolk Online E-Mail Password
Description: Something so you know which account it is your checkign e.g Suffolk Online

Once you have done this tap Save in the top right.

Select either IMAP or POP. If you want to keep emails on both PC and your ipad then select imap.

The screen will then expand and ask for additional settings. First it will ask you for

Incoming Mail Server Information

Host Name: pop3.suffolkonline.net
Username: youremail@suffolkonline.net
Password: Your password

Outgoing Server Information

Host Name:
relay.suffolkonline.net
Username: youremail@suffolkonline.net
Password: Your Password

Once you have entered all this you may well get a message say its not secure but select cancel and then save in the top right again.  That should be it all setup and ready to go. If you ahve any problems please call us at the helpdesk or email support@suffolkonline.net
